Ben Mason Releases "Acapulco: Vol. 2-PDX"

Ben Mason is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Melbourne, Australia.
A few years ago, Ben recorded a collection of his friends' songs completely a capella. He played his versions of these songs to his mother who remarked, "I see--th 1c84 ese are other people's songs that you've sung acapulco...". The name stuck.
Last year, Ben spent a month in Portland, Oregon, hanging out with new and old musical friends. Seeing as Acapulco: Volume 1 was all about celebrating songs by his Australian friends, it seemed appropriate that he work on songs from Portland for Acapulco: Volume 2.
Acapulco Volume 2 - PDX features a capella versions of songs by The Shins, Laura Gibson, Fruit Bats, Sean Flinn, Shelley Short, and Arch Cape, and was recorded in Ben's home studio in Melbourne, Australia, mastered in Portland by Tony Lash, (Elliott Smith, Dandy Warhols) and features artwork by Portland's Amy Ruppel.
