Body Parts Playing in PDX

Joining TLE For Their Album Release Party

Friends over at Tender Loving Empire are huge fans of L.A. band, Body Parts. They are amazing and driving all the way from southern California for the TLE Un-Birthday, Friends and Friends of Friends album release party on Saturday, Sept. 29. They're going to be a big deal. Check out their really awesom 1e84 e dance video for their song "Doing Things" (its got kind of a fun Tim and Eric vibe if you're into that) or listen to their whole album On Purpose .

Ryder Bach started Body Parts in 2009. The band, rounded out by Alina Cutrono, Raymond Proudfoot, and Taylor Dexter, fuses Ryder's thoughtful lyrics -- food, language and comfort serve as subjects -- with an angular sense of melody, some Prince-inspired guitar work, a lot of percussion and several pairs of decidedly square eyeglasses; the result is songs that are just as intellectually demanding as they are imminently danceable. Just back from their first official showcase at SXSW, the band is now recording a new EP entitled Fire Dream.
