  • Natasha Kmeto is a Portland-based singer and electronic producer. Drawing on rich musical backgrounds in jazz, r&b, dance, and hip-hop, she describes her music as “futuristic soul.” After journeying through music school and life as a session musician, and migrating from LA to Portland, Kmeto has arrived at her current project, her most independent and passionate enterprise so far. Exploring the more soulful side of beats and future bass, Kmeto combines talent and acuity behind the boards with a gorgeously rich singing voice. Her live show is a thinking-person’s visceral dance party, often reaching levels of energy so high Natasha herself comes out to join her audience on the dance floor.

  • {{ADVENTURES! WITH MIGHT}} <APES TAPES>

  • A!WM is the local sexy duo you may have seen making out at the queer resource center, or perhaps you were personally slapped by a stage dive in a sweat basement by lead guitarist/vocalist Marc Swart, or perhaps you were savvy enough to even see Isaac Medina dressed in what can only be understood as modern punk funk drag at their last event at Mississippi Studios, or maybe you are a student at Hillsburro high who now have the first opportunity to see A!WM in all their horny all ages glory in over six months, either way this is a performance you definitely remember.

  • “It’s a slick, neo-noir synth pop album that could almost be considered goth if it didn’t sound so horny.” -Portland Mercury

  • {{PLANTRAE}}

  • After years of exploration in electronic music and acoustic viola, Zak Hoya has finally intertwined both in an imaginative new project, Plantrae. Comprised of a funky, stretchy midtempo foundation, and live viola improvisation that borrows from classical, swing, and folk, Plantrae is a fresh, unique and playful sound experience.

  • {{SCISSORS TO TAPE}}

  • Born into the poverty and violence of the mean Portland inner-city, two brothers used their hard-knock beginnings to attack the game and eventually change the game. Using their street-level connections the brothers hustled, fought, robbed, and stole in order to obtain the second hand clothing and vintage records and knock-off wayfarers. They padded their bank account selling these items on the black-market dodging police and thugs alike. "Sometimes I can't believe we made it out alive. But shit, [it] all worked out in the end, right?" Chris explains. All the while, these two were laying it down, writing hits. Finally, in 2010 they had enough to book much needed studio time. Unfortunately, during one session a group of swindled vintage clothing store employees broke into the studio, dragged Steven outside and took turns running over his left foot with their fixed-gear bicycles. It took him a year and a half to fully recover and finish the record. Their self-titled Scissors To Tape was released on January 12th 2012. Although it was a critical success, the group struggled to build a fan base. Show after show, they battled to bring their music to the people selling a few compact discs at a time out of the trunk of their '64 Impala. Going into the summer, all eyes are on the Scissors boys. 2012 is theirs for the taking.
