Get Your Fix All Month
On August 3rd Tapalaya will be adding a FREE crawfish boil and raffle to our monthly after-dinner dance party. The festivities will start at 9:30pm with a second line 29 from 28th & SE Stark street. The band, Alligator vs Crocodile will arrive at Tapalaya around 10pm and will play until midnight or later. Come out, eat some mudbugs and shake your booty, y'alll!
On August 7th the Tapalaya crew will be handing out FREE crawfish at Kerns Neighborhood Picnic neighborhood held in Oregon Park.
On August 18th join Tapalaya for a traditional low country boil. Tickets good for one pound of crawfish boil and garlic bread ($12) will be sold in advance and at the door (wile supplies last). A limited a la carte menu as well as traditional boil accouterments (sausage, mushrooms, potatoes, carrots, etc) will be offered. There will be a live blues performance by SteveCheseborough. This is an all ages event. Saturday 11:30am – 2:30pm.
If you haven't been before, Tapalaya is the worlds first tapas (small-plates) restaurant serving Cajun/Creole cuisine.
Everything on their menu is made from scratch, with love. The plates of food are small (appetizer or side items size) and perfect for sharing and pairing. Menu items highlight New Orleans favorites: Jambalaya, Collard Greens, N'awlins BBQ Shrimp, Corn Bread and Po'Boys (just to name a few).
