Portland-based indie-psychdeleic-folk quartet Water Tower is moving to California in November for a year to busk and build their California draw, but not before having a big send-off party, headlining Wonder Ballroom on November 10th with Sassparilla and Fruition.

Water Tower - comprised of Josh Rabie (fiddle, guitar, har 2000 monica, vocals), Kenny Feinstein (guitar, mandolin, harmonica, vocals), Gordon Keepers (upright bass, vocals), and Jason Oppat (drums, percussion) - will still be touring relentlessly, including tour stops in Portland before they move back, which includes December's McMenamin's Great Northwest Music Tour.  But, their November 10th Wonder Ballroom show will be their big send-off, as well as their first time playing out after recording their debut as Water Tower.  As such, the band will be debuting new songs from their forthcoming, as-of-yet titled full-length.

Previously to being called Water Tower, the band spent five years on the road (including international tours throughout Europe) and made four albums under the name Water Tower Bucket Boys, before broadening their sound and changing the moniker just to Water Tower.

The members of Water Tower have collaborated live with members of bands like Frank Turner, Kitty Daisy and Lewis, the Red Stick Ramblers, and the Foghorn Stringband, as well as shared the stage with acts like Old Crow Medicine Show, Mumford and Sons, Wilco, Pokey LaFarge and the South City Three, and Woody Pines.  They have toured extensively in both the USA and abroad, and performed live on the BBC, NPR, and RTE.  Their all original sound is infectious and has spread far and wide to audiences of all ages and walks of life.  Based in Portland, Oregon these young gents got their start busking on street corners playing traditional old time and bluegrass, eventually honing their sound as a solid dance band playing square dances and bluegrass festivals up and down the west coast.

However, Water Tower wanted to take the music further and thus, their new sound was born.  Loosely based in the traditions of bluegrass, punk rock, blues, cajun, folk and country their music slides between musical boundaries. Their songs feature tight three-part harmonies and powerful instrumentals.  This combined with the lightning energy of their stage performances has made them a favorite amongst audiences everywhere. Their latest recording is a 5-song EP recorded in Portland at Type Foundry Studios entitled Where the Crow Don't Fly.  It showcases the band's original songwriting, diverse arranging, and solid playing.

Doors are at 7:30pm, show at 8:30pm.  Cover is $10.00 advance and $12.00 day of the show.  The show is 21+.
