This past Friday and Saturday the 8th Annual Great American Distillers Festival gave residents an opportunity to taste spirits from around the country. From local companies like Eastside Distilling, to Kentucky’s Bardstown Barrel Selections, there was plenty of variety to try at the Tiffany Center this weekend.

Put on annually by the Rogue Foundation, the festival continues to attract more and more people every year, as attendees get to meet with distillers and owners firsthand. It’s a perfect opportunity to learn mixing techniques from the distillers themselves.

It was great to see the majority of the companies present were from Oregon. The craft spirit industry continues to flourish locally, and attendees crowded tables like Rogue Spirits and Big Bottom Whiskey.

Many companies brewed up cocktails for potential customers to try, but the majority of attendees preferred to try their samples neat.  From vodka, to whiskey, our palates experienced a spiritual nirvana. Needless to say, we can’t wait until next year’s festival.
