The 8th Annual Great American Distillers Festival
Meet 40 American Distillers and Sample Seasonal Spirits
The Great American Distillers Festival will be holding a public spirits tasting showcasing local and American spirits on Friday, October 19, and Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Tiffany Center in SW Portland. This will be an opportunity to taste the incredible variety of s 1909 pirits being produced in Oregon, and around the country, all in one location. Distillers and owners will be on hand to pour samples and answer questions. There will be an estimated 50 distilleries pouring. The distillers will be on hand, mixing and pouring samples of holiday cocktails. This will allow show attendees to experience how some of the spirits being tasted can be used in actual cocktails. As the distillers mix their drinks, they will also be discussing the how’s and why’s of the techniques they are using, making this an opportunity for the public to learn about the art and skills involved in mixing cocktails.
