Changes to Last Thursday
New Policies for Vendors
Alberta Street is an especially unique destination. Alberta Street attracts tourists and Portlanders alike not only for their fantastic shops, bars and restaurants but also because they are a thriving arts district! Last Thursday on Alberta has helped define the district for 15 years. Thousands of people (approximately 20,000 each month) come to the neighborhood to be a part of it.
Friends of Last Thursday has been working diligent 198e ly to pay for the costs of the event and to minimize the impacts of so many visitors to the district. They have come to realize that the only way to keep the event sustainable is to implement changes for nest year.
All vendors will be required to sign up to vend. While it will remain FREE for all artists, crafters, creatives, musicians and performers, all other vendors will be charged a fee. This includes food vendors carrying a temporary or restaurant food license. This will give accountability to all vendors and repeat offenders will not be allowed to vend at Last Thursday.
Next year the event will be ending earlier in the evening. An exact time has not been set, but will be on the website before next season.
